Maybelline Blue Water & My Favorite French Manicure

I know many of you hate this polish & understandably so, but I couldn't resist buying it when I found it at the Dollar Tree. I gave it to Ashley, since my nails are a slightly stained. Blue Water is pictured on her nails with 2 coats. It's so sheer! You're thinking "Aaghhh! Why would anyone want such a polish?"

But wait! I know Blue Water is pretty scary by itself, but Ashley transformed it into one of my new favorite manicures! She added french tips in Icing My Blue Heaven and now I think it's gorgeous!

Such a lovely effect! So if you picked up the Water polishes, don't despair! Great job Ashley!

Revlon Gum Drop & A French Manicure

This is 3 coats of Revlon Gum Drop. I love this one! It's a drop dead gorgeous lilac jelly. It has a sweet, but not overpowering scent while applying. Later, my nails smelled faintly of cotton candy.

The next day I added Sinful Colors Mint Apple on my tips. Unexpectedly, this ended being a new favorite manicure. So nice when things are pleasantly surprising.

St. Patrick's Day Clover Nail Art Fail

I love the real clover but I hate the base color of this manicure! I wanted a nice white, but none of my white polishes were cooperating today. Everything was super streaky and bubbly. So I just kept adding other stuff until I finally gave up and just added the clover with a couple of coats of thick top coat. I smushed it flat under some books for a couple of hours first.

A Chance To Donate To Japan Brought To You By Enamel Girl

Each day the true extent of the devastation from last week's earthquake and tsunami is becoming clearer. Each day more heartbreaking than the last. Color Club Wild Orchid & My Second Dotting Tool Nail Art Attempt

This is 2 coats of Color Club Wild Orchid from the Untamed Luxury Collection. It didn't get much attention but I really love this gorgeous grey with soft, subtle silver microshimmer. The base color is a lot like China Glaze Recycle which is still one of my top 5 favorite polishes. Nice formula too.

I tired my dotting tools again, but still haven't quite gotten the results I want. I just need to play with them more often. I used Nina Ultra Pro Salsa and Essie Mint Candy Apple.


I still can't believe how many of you responded in comments and emails to my post about the OMG! I was truly shocked at the frenzy I created. I received over 100 inquiries so I wasn't able to respond to everyone individually or I wouldn't have been able to eat or sleep for the past couple of days. They sold out super fast! I'm just sorry I couldn't find enough for everyone.
I'll be adding more polishes soon, no OMG, but I'll add more 2NITE and more from the Kaleidoscope collection.

NYC 233 & A Question About Future Giveaway Roundup Posts

This is 2 coats of NYC 233 that I picked up in a 2 pack from the Dollar Tree. I love tdeals like that because I would never even notice this color own it's own but I really love it. Gorgeous hot pink creme with a nice formula and wide brush (I love wide brushes) all for .50! Yay!
I know many of you look forward to my Weekly Giveaway Roundup. I intend it to be a one stop resource for those wanting to enter nail polish giveaways without spending a lot of time finding them or having to enter them the first time you see them.
I've been meaning to update the way I structure the post for a few weeks but can't quite decide what would be the most useful. I want to start including who can enter, but I want it to be in a quickly digestible form. I'm also thinking of listing them by day instead of by type.
I know it's easier to recognize a giveaway if I include a picture for each one, but I tried it once and it would have taken me a whole day to collect them all and get in the post, not to mention it would be huge! So I'm going to keep it in a simple bullet point format but maybe with different organization and a little more info.
Any suggestions are welcome! How do you use this post? How can I make it better without adding pictures.

I'm Launching A Store Selling Concrete, Nail Polish & Dresses!

Medusa's Threads is my new online store! I've been hard at work on this for some time now but I kept it a secret since I ALWAYS underestimate how long a project will take me to finish.

I know it's still got a few issues. (I can't get the dang Tic Tac picture to show up in the store! GRRR!) And I do ship internationally but for now you will have to email with the items you want. It's all explained in the policies on the site. But I just can't wait any longer!

Color Club Feel The Beat

I've had Color Club Feel the Beat for a long time and used it a few times but never posted pictures somehow. I'm not a big red polish fan but I like this one quite a bit because it reminds me of Christmas ornaments for some reason. Great formula too. I think this red orange shimmer would look good under a black crackle polish for a cooling lava look!
