Layering With Zoya Chloe

Zoya Chloe is a sheer pink topcoat loaded with duochrome flakies in red-orange to gold and gold-green to blue from their new Fleck Effects collection. This set looks gorgeous in their bottles so I decided to try to get the same look on my nails. I think I accomplished my goal!
Chloe by itself is very sheer with just a hint of pink in the base. This is 2 coats of OPI Elephantastic Pink topped with 2 coats of Chloe. Gorgeous! I love all of the Fleck Effects but Chloe is my favorite. I can't wait to try it over other colors.

Layering With Zoya Opal

Zoya Opal is a sheer green topcoat loaded with blue & green flakies from their new Fleck Effects collection. This set looks gorgeous in their bottle so I decided to try to get the same look on my nails. I think I accomplished my goal!
Opal by itself is very sheer with just a hint of green in the base. This is 2 coats of OPI Greenwich Village topped with 2 coats of Opal. Lovely!

Layering With Zoya Maisie

Zoya Maisie is a sheer turquoise blue topcoat loaded with blue & green flakies from their new Fleck Effects collection. These all look gorgeous in the bottle so I decided to try to get the same look on my nails. I think I accomplished my goal!
Maisie by itself is very sheer with just a hint of blue in the base. This is 2 coats of Maybelline Blue Water topped with 2 coats of Maisie & then 1 more coat of Blue Water. Normally I would never use 5 coats of polish, but the Water polishes go on super thin and dry very fast so it's really no problem. I love how they turned out!

Zoya Lotus & Tru: A Nail Art Comparison!

Zoya Lotus & Tru are from the newly released True collection. I've fianlly worn them all & I can tell you that I love the whole collection just as much as I did Zoya's Intimate collection from spring last year! As many other bloggers have pointed out, Zoya really nails their color descriptions so I'll be using them in my posts.

First we have Lotus "a very soft, dusty blue-toned amethyst purple with colorful shimmer that reflects pink, red and gold. A dreamy smoky shade for purple lovers that looks both soft and luminous." Great formula & lovely color.

 

Zoya Tru is "a saturated, red-toned grape purple with speckled shimmer that reflects gold, orange and red. Bold and saturated warm color made even more interesting with color-shifting shimmer." I like this one even more than Lotus. The formula is great on this too.

I decided to do the same type of nail art for these colors that I did with Cho & Farah from the same collection. It's very easy & I like the results. You can really see the shimmer in the last photo.

My New House!

I don't talk about anything besides nails on my blog very often but some news is just too exciting not to share. Will & I are finally fulfilling our dream of having his & hers garages! We'll be moving into this awesome place by the end of the month. It also has a game room for Will & a working pop-up blender from 1958 with instructions (it's basically a dremel in the counter with kitchen attachments)!

I have a lovely life & should never complain about anything (I do of course, but I try not to do so too much). Even the weather has been unbelievably cooperative!

Zoya Dot Nail Art

I love Bevin & Skylar from the new Zoya True collection so much that I've already used them again for another easy manicure. It's so amazing what you can accomplish with some simple dots! I also used Zoya Dove for the grey dots and American Apparel Hassid for the black ones.

Zoya Skylar & An Accent Nail Manicure

Zoya Skylar is from the newly released True collection. I'll have the rest of the collection up over the next week or so. I can tell you that I love the whole collection just as much as I did Zoya's Intimate collection from spring last year! As many other bloggers have pointed out, Zoya really nails their color descriptions so I'll be using them in my posts.

Skylar is a medium steel blue with a softened, dusty look and speckled by visible gold and silver shimmer flecks. A soft blue that's bold without being too dark, bright or flashy.  Another new favorite! I've been looking for a blue polish in just this shade.
The formula is excellent & reminds me of Zoya Edyta. It applies like liquid velvet & is opaque in 2 or 3 coats. Gorgeous polish!

The next day I added some black polish and dots of Zoya Jules to my ring finger.  These colors make me think of art deco tiles & jewelry.

Zoya Bevin & Some Easy Nail Art

Zoya Bevin is from the newly released True collection. I'll have the rest of the collection up over the next week or so. I can tell you that I love the whole collection just as much as I did Zoya's Intimate collection from spring last year! As many other bloggers have pointed out, Zoya really nails their color descriptions so I'll be using them in my posts.

"Bevin is a dusty, medium sage green with teal tones and a creamy opaque finish. A stylish and unique shade for when you want something different from the usual mint green."  Drop dead gorgeous & almost a one coat wonder! The formula is excellent. Definitely a new favorite!

The next day I used tape to do a fun manicure with Farah from the same collection. This was super easy and I love the look.

Zoya Cho & Farah: A Nail Art Comparison!

Zoya Cho & Farah are from the newly released True collection. I'll have the rest of the collection up over the next week or so. I can tell you that I love the whole collection just as much as I did Zoya's Intimate collection from spring last year! As many other bloggers have pointed out, Zoya really nails their color descriptions so I'll be using them in my posts.

First up we have Zoya Cho an "opaque yellow-toned light soft peachy beige with a hint of ultra fine silver shimmer. A light, creamy nude especially nice for skin tones with olive or yellow undertones."
I added a few drops of thinner to aid in application and had no problems after that. I think it's gorgeous! I've got lots of pictures in full sun & in the shade.

Next we have Zoya Farah "an opaque light khaki-beige with subtle sandy, greenish undertones and a cream finish." I love this one too! The application was typical of a pastel creme and didn't self level very well, but a few drops of thinner & topcoat evened things out nicely.

 

 

I know many people will want to see how these two compare. I did some simple but lovely nail art so my readers can really see them side by side. This was so pretty in person!! I used Cho for the base & Farah for the tips.
