American Apparel Sheer Summerland Beach

I love American Apparel polishes! They recently released a new collection of Sheers & they are drop dead gorgeous! This just might be my new favorite collection ever. The sheer collection contains 6 buildable jelly polishes that are super pigmented & apply very easily. Some are a bit streaky on the first coat but all of them are lovely by 2 thick coats or 3 thin coats. These are really great for all sorts of nail art & the colors are beautiful. They dry a bit matte so I definitely recommend a top coat for that squishy jelly finish. These polishes can be ordered from the American Apparel website for $6.

Summerland Beach is the most opaque polish from this collection but definitely still a jelly. I don't have anything like it in my collection & I truly adore it! Another new favorite; this might even make it into the top #10. It looks fresh & clean & goes with everything!

American Apparel Buried Treasure Nails

Glitter gradients are my favorite easy way to get fancy nails in a hurry. I love how this one turned out! I used American Apparel Pacific Beach & Meteor Shower.
I decided these nails reminded me of buried pirate treasure & I thought it might be cool to add a coat of American Apparel Pacific Beach on top of the glitter for a more pronounced underwater effect. I scratched it off in a couple of spots to let the gold shine through. These sheer polishes are so fun!

American Apparel Sheer Gradient

The American Apparel Sheer collection is very fun to play with. Here I used Manhattan Beach for the base & just added random strokes of Moonlight Beach. Super easy, impossible to mess up & I love the results!
Mushrooms are strange! These popped up overnight in my garden. Do any of you know what kind they might be?

American Apparel Sheer Moonlight Beach

I've never bought any clothes from American apparel but I really love their polishes. They recently released a new collection of Sheers & they are drop dead gorgeous! This just might be my new favorite collection ever but I know that these polishes aren't for everyone. They are buildable jelly polishes that are super pigmented & apply very easily. First up we have American Apparel Sheer Manhattan Beach shown here at 3 coats. This one was streaky at one coat but turns into the most lovely dark indigo by the third coat. I love this one so much, sexy & unique!

Red, White, & Blue Nails

Sation Holiday Spirit - New Version

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes & they are priced at just $5. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website.

The old version of Sation Holiday Spirit is one of my top 5 favorite polishes of all time for many reasons. In this post I'll show you the new version & I'll have a comparison post up soon.
Sation Holiday Spirit has red, blue, silver & holographic glitter in a slightly charcoal tinted base. The glitter is super dense, so I needed three coats to achieve this level of coverage. I had a couple of spots that needed another dab of polish to make sure I plenty of glitter everywhere. I think next time I wear this one I'll try it over grey or black. It's definitely an excellent glitter to have in my arsenal & I love the subtle red, white & blue look. I took pictures in lots of different light to show off all the glitter.

Sation Weed Out The Wimps & Nails Inspired By I Am Definitely Addicted!

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes & they are priced at just $5. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website. Sation will be releasing a new fall collection soon called Little Horse On The Prairie.

Sation Weed Out The Wimps is a fantastic true army green. My sister Ashley & I have been trying to find a green just like this since we first started painting our nails. Another new favorite with a great formula that's opaque in two coats.

The next day I tried out my version of a striped manicure I found on I Am Definitely Addicted's fun blog. She did a great patriotic version & I decided to go with some fall colors on this day of 112 degree temperatures! This looks intimidating but was actually quite easy. Thanks for the great idea!
