Zoya Paloma & JENsations Rainbow Sprinkles

Today we have a pretty polish from indie brand JENsations. Here's what she has to say about her products.

★ All of my custom blended polishes are made with a special 3-free base [Toluene, Formaldehyde & Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) Free] that will suspend glitter [glitter won't all fall to the bottom].

★ All glitters used are solvent resistant [glitter won't bleed into polish]. On rare occasion I use a bleeding glitter on purpose to get the perfect shade of base, but it will be noted.

★ All polishes come inside a unique star shaped bottle. 10 ml in size. Contrary to popular believe they are easy to store.

★ Each bottle contains two stainless steel ball bearings [they will not rust or affect your polish] for easy shaking. Pigments & glitters tend to settle over time so please shake gently =)

★ Each bottle is custom made with my very own two hands so there may be a slight variation in each bottle.
I've found all of these statements to be true! This is one easily applied coat of JENsations Rainbow Sprinkles over Zoya Paloma. Rainbow Sprinkles is a mix of multi-sized red, purple, green, yellow, orange, white, pink & blue matte hexagon & square glitter in a clear base with an excellent formula. No need to fish for glitter in the bottle & brushes on in one nice thin coat.
Sells for $8 at her Etsy store. She has many other intriguing glitter polish to choose from too. I've got my eye on Santa I've Been Naughty.

Zoya Paloma

Here we have Zoya Paloma from their NYFW 2012 Gloss Collection, a sheer deep fuchsia-berry with a buildable jelly gloss finish. All of the polishes from this set work better with thick coats. The formula is a bit streaky & sticky but using thick coats made it much easier to use. I only used 2 coats for these photos. I think it's lovely!

Zoya Frida

This is the beautiful Zoya Frida from their NYFW 2012 Gloss Collection, a sheer, dark, warm-toned teal blue with a buildable jelly gloss finish. all of the polishes from this set work better with thick coats. The formula is a bit streaky & sticky but it's so unique & gorgeous that I think it's worth a bit of extra fuss. Shown here at 3 thin coats before I figured out that thick coats were easier.

My sister Ashley loves it too & she's picky! Shown here at two easily applied coats. My dog Wally got in on this one. He's so cute!

Geometric Nail Art

This was the first manicure I did with my Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens. I didn't really have a plan; I just started doodling. I love it & would never have the patience to accomplish the same thing with a brush. I used Zoya Evvie for the base & a yellow nail art pen.

Zoya Diagonal Stripes Inspired By Lucy's Stash

I love this manicure from Lucy's Stash. My version is not nearly as precise but I still love it! I started with Zoya Monica & then used striping tape to make stripes of Zoya Faye, Fei Fei & Edyta.

Zoya Toni & Rekha are both such classic colors; I decided to use them in a classic half moon manicure. Sometimes simple is best.

Zoya Toni

Here we have Zoya Toni, from their Fall 2012 NYFW Designer Collection, a "dark, warm raisin-wine cream with strong purple tones. A fashionable muted oxblood for a classic vampy nail look." I think it looks exactly like Dr. Pepper Jelly Bellys!

The formula was a bit thick & stringy, but I was able to get it looking nice with 2 coats & a top coat. Zoya Toni dries darker than bottle color & it's darker than I normally like. Somehow I still like this one enough to keep it though. It's unlike any other color I have & I do love Dr. Pepper!
