Zoya Hudson

Zoya Hudson is from their Awaken collection for Spring 2014.

Zoya Hudson is accurately described as a full coverage, purple orchid metallic with a silver shimmer. Great formula that covers in two coats, just a wait a minute or two between coats to avoid dragging. Fabulous polish for spring!

Zoya Brooklyn & Cosmo!

Glitter gradients are the best! Here I started with Zoya Brooklyn and then added a bit of Zoya Cosmo starting at the base of my nails. This look reminds of a gorgeous jewel encrusted ball gown, something you could wear on the red carpet; I love it!

Sally Hansen Cafe Au Lait

Sally Hansen Cafe Au Lait has a great formula for a pale creme polish. Shown here at 3 thin coats that self level quite nicely. I love this shade with my skin tone too. Definitely a keeper!

Oklahoma springs are so windy! I couldn't resist this Threadless shirt several years ago. I have no idea why, but I just needed Mr. Choppy.

Sation Strumming My Nails

Sation Strumming My Nails is the palest of grey creme polishes. I love the color but the formula wasn't self-leveling at all as you can see in the pictures. I'll be passing this one along.

Zoya Dot

Zoya Dot is from their Awaken collection for Spring 2014.

Zoya Dot is still streaky after three coats as shown here. I used the thin coat, medium coat, thin coat method recommended by many for pale creme polishes but still had a few streaks. I should have tried one more thin coat but the color & finish aren't unique enough to be worth the time & effort. Dot is a pretty pink but I have others with much better formulas, like Sation Off The Record Pink. So far, Dillon is the only polish I've tried from this collection that I will be keeping. Hudson & Rebel do look promising though.

Zoya Dillon & Zuza: A Nail Art Comparison

I've done a couple of nail art comparisons featuring other Zoya polishes & decided that Zoya Dillon & Zuza would be another great pair for this treatment.

I started with Zoya Dillon & added chevron tips in Zoya Zuza. Both are lovely & they look great together.

Elizabeth Arden Ahoy

Elizabeth Arden Ahoy is one of two new polishes from their 2014 Summer Escape Collection. Ahoy comes in an adorable nautical themed box for all of you packaging fans!  The brush is a tad stubby but I love the wide curved bristles & it works very well.

Ahoy is a a muted coral neon unlike any others in my collection. A gorgeous shade for spring & summer! Shown here at three 3 thin coats, the formula is a bit streaky but applies nicely for this type of color & finish. Definitely a keeper!

Zoya Dillon

Zoya Dillon is from their Awaken collection for Spring 2014.

Zoya Dillon is a minty green with golden microshimmer that is a signature of many Zoya polishes. Shown here at 3 coats, the formula is a bit tricky at first, similar to Edyta. Be careful not to go over a polished area until it dries or it will drag. Pretty easy to apply once you realize that though.

Dillon is a great color for spring that brings to mind mermaids & the sea. I'm not sure if I like it on my hands but it will look great on my toes this season!

Zoya FeiFei & Sally Hansen Distressed Denim Crackle

Zoya FeiFei sure is beautiful! I decided to try out another Sally Hansen Crackle polish & found another winning combination. This is Sally Hansen Distressed Denim Crackle, a royal blue jelly crackle that looks great over sparkly polishes.

I will always love crackle polishes. They are so great when you don't have time to start fresh but you have a chipped manicure. I can just add a layer of topcoat followed by some quick strokes of a pretty crackle & my hands are saved.

If you'd like a bottle of Sally Hansen Distressed Denim for yourself, I've just opened a little storefront with various brand new polishes I've picked up over the years. Sometimes I see a closeout deal & I just can't help myself!

Stripes with Zoya

I can't believe I did all 10 fingers instead of just 2 accent nails! Time consuming but not difficult & worth the effort. I used one of these quilts for inspiration. You can find more nail art inspiration ideas on my Pinterest board.

I started with one coat of Zoya Darcy & then I added the stripes. From bottom to top on my nails & left to right in the following picture we have Darcy, Ziv, Beatrix, Amy, Reagan, Lolly (bottle not pictured - I forgot it!), & Miranda. I finished it off with a topcoat. Pretty fun!
