Milani Ready To Wear Red

This is an older Milani but it sure is great! Milani Ready To Wear Red barely needs a second coat, really great formula! Truly fantastic shade of red too, maybe a shade or two lighter than blood red with lots of depth. Definitely a keeper!

Mixing Finishes With Zoya

I love the illusion of a half moon with this easy to do nail art. I started with a base of Zoya Tove and then added stripes in Zoya Skylar

Half Moons With Zoya

While reorganizing my nail art supplies, I came across my reinforcement labels and decided to do a half moon manicure. I started with a base of Zoya Eden and and then used Zoya Tilda inside the whole of the label for a dainty half moon. I love this color combination!

Layering With Revlon Gold Goddess

I love flakies! This is one coat of Revlon Gold Goddess over Revlon French Roast. It's pretty much an exact dupe for Zoya Maria Luisa. I don't usually keep dupes since I try to keep my stash on the small side (at least for a blogger!) but I love this shade of gold and flakies so it's a keeper!

Revlon Sheer Nude

Revlon Sheer Nude is one of those polishes I would never pick up for myself but I'm so glad a friend gave this one to me! I used 3 coats for this level of opacity. The formula is very buildable and you could easily make it more or less sheer depending on how many coats you use. Great polish that really grew on me throughout the day. I ended up really loving it!

Zoya Tove

Zoya Tove is part of the Naturel Satins Collection for 2015.
I've had LOTS of trouble with this collection but Tove applied so much better than the paler colors I've tried. Still a bit tricky but I made it work. Tove is a nice slate grey color and I do love the satin finish.

Zoya Daisy

Zoya Daisy is from their Spring 2015 Delight collection.
Zoya Daisy looks like lemon drop candy with turquoise micro-shimmer. I love it! Shown here at two coats; it could probably use a third but the formula is great, especially for a yellow polish.

Essie Mink Muffs

Essie Mink Muffs is part of their core line. It's a sort of smoky milk chocolate creme color that looks great on lots of people. I still hate Essie's skinny brush but the formula is perfectly fine and opaque in 2 coats.

SmartNails Vinyls With Nabi Polish

Three things I love all in one manicure! I started with a base of Nabi Burnt Orange and then used my Smartnails vinyls Stripes to add some Nabi Navy. I love blue and orange together!

Nabi Navy

I can't find much information about this brand but I picked up a few of their hologram polishes at Walgreens a few months ago on clearance. Nabi Hologram Navy is a truly beautiful navy scattered holo unlike anything in my collection. Shown here at 2 coats with no topcoat to preserve the holo effect that can so often be negated with topcoat. Nabi Navy was very easy to apply and is shown here at 2 coats. It does dry quickly so you do have to be careful about going over an area more than once or you might get a bit of dragging. Overall a gorgeous and unique polish that I'm thrilled to have!

Cherry Pie Nails!

I wore these hilarious cherry pie nails for Pi Day March 14th. I had lots of fun with this manicure and think they turned out pretty great!
I was already wearing OPI Midnight In Moscow which worked great for the base of my cherry pie filling. I added random dots and blobs of Zoya Oswin for the cherries. Next I needed to find a great golden brown for my pie crust, but somehow I don't have any in my collection! Zoya Nyssa was the closest I could find and it really wasn't the right color. I was about to give up when I spotted my crazy Revlon Glimmer Gloss Banana Blaze. It looks like melted butter with some sugar crystals so I used it to give my whole nail a buttery, sugary glaze! Awesome!

OPI Midnight In Moscow

OPI Midnight In Moscow was originally part of their Fall 2007 Russian collection but has since been added to their Classics line with good reason!

OPI Midnight In Moscow is so fun; it looks like liquid vampires! It's a sheer charcoal jam-packed with brick red micro shimmer. The first coat is streaky but as soon as you start the second coat everything turns rich and glossy and magical. I love OPI's wide brushes too so this one really was a pleasure to apply. I don't usually go for dark, vampy colors but Midnight In Moscow is simply fantastic!
In artificial light so you can see the shimmer.

Glitter French For St. Patrick's Day

This manicure is not really my style but I think it's good to try things outside of your comfort zone even if it just lets you know that you really don't like something. I started with the horrid Revlon Fresh Linen and then added a french tip in BB Couture Poison Ivy. I topped the whole thing with Sinful Colors Call You Later. I'm rarely a fan of glitter toppers and Sinful Call You Later is no exception. Overall I think this manicure is not for me even though it is perfect for St Patrick's Day.

Revlon Parfumerie Fresh Linen

Revlon Parfumerie Fresh Linen is part of their currently available Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel collection.

Blech! Revlon Parfumerie Fresh Linen is just terrible all around in my opinion. Shown here at 3 coats, the formula is extremely streaky and really needed a fourth coat but I already hated the polish so I stopped. The polish is full of brushstrokes and the color seemed like something that was once white but had turned yellow from sun exposure; not a pretty color or finish in other words. The brush handle is a very stubby ball that I found awkward to use. And then there is the issue of scent. I'm not really into perfume so maybe this just will never be my thing but it smelled like nail polish mixed with a perfumey version of dryer sheets. The smell lingered into the second day of wear and was sometimes unpleasant, especially when I was eating a meal. Blech!
