Zoya Satins Nail Art

Even though I had lots of trouble with the Zoya Satins collection I still adore the colors! Here is some simple nail art showcasing some of my favorites from the set. I started with a base of Zoya Ana, then added stripes in Zoya Tove, Brittany, and Sage

Smart Nails Vinyls With Essie

I used my smART Nails Chevron Lines vinyls for this manicure. I started with a base of Essie Mink Muffs and then chose three pretty Essie greens for the stripes - Absolutely Shore, Da Bush, and Sew Psyched.

L'Oreal Now You Sea Me

L'Oreal Colour Riche Now You Sea Me is a truly gorgeous dusty medium blue with a hint of green. The formula isn't that great though - very streaky and definitely needed a third coat.

Essie Tart Deco

Essie Tart Deco is now part of their core line. Essie makes lots of pretty polishes and I love Essie Good To Go and their Ridge Filling Base Coat but I really hate their skinny brush. Tart Deco is a pretty coral creme but the formula is very streaky and prone to dragging - shown here at 3 coats. I have other similar colors so I'll be passing this one along.

Zoya Lillian

Zoya Lillian is from their Spring 2015 Delight collection.
Zoya Lillian is streaky at first but gorgeous by the second. It's a faded aquamarine creme that will look great year round!

Zoya Easter Nails!

I don't really celebrate Easter but this idea popped into my head ad I just decided to give it a try. I started with a base of Zoya Daisy and then added Easter eggs in Zoya Rayne, Harper, and Leslie. Then I added Zoya Rina which is the perfect Easter grass polish!! Kind of over the top and not my normal style but lots of fun.

Zoya Sage And A Comparison

Zoya Sage is part of the Naturel Satins Collection for 2015.
I've had LOTS of trouble with this collection but Sage applied so much better than the paler colors I've tried. Still a bit tricky but I made it work. Sage is a lovely greyed out green color and I do love the satin finish.

Zoya Sage is very similar to Zoya Bevin but the finish is different. Zoya Wednesday is much brighter.

Sally Hansen Distressed Denim Crackle

I will always love a good crackle polish; they can hide so many problematic manicures in a flash. This time I used Sally Hansen Distressed Denim to tone down a neon polish (China Glaze Sun Of A Peach) that was also bubbly and streaky. Much better!

Born Pretty Stamping Supplies

I haven't tried stamping in a few years because all of my plates had images that were too small for my nails and I never got around to buying new plates or any of the squishy stampers. Born Pretty Store sent me just what I needed to try again.

Now I remember that stamping is something that most likely will not work on your first try. Or you your second. Or maybe even your tenth. There are lots of variables that can affect the final outcome so it really takes a lot of trial and error to get good results.
Even though I didn't get great results this time, I love my new stamper and plates from Born Pretty. The squishy stamper is great in so many ways - much bigger than my old Konad stamper and very easy to clean with a lint roller. Plate BP21 has 4 fun patterns that are all more than big enough to cover my rather large nails.
Born Pretty has tons of nail art and you can get 10% off your order with this code APBK31
