Simple Nail Art With Zoya Satins

I had some trouble with the formulas of the Zoya Satins collection but they are pretty! Here I started with Zoya Brittany and added a swipe of Zoya Leah.

Zoya Oswin

Zoya Oswin is from their Ultra Pixie Dust Collection.
Zoya Oswin didn't have the same problems as Noir and Arianna from the same set. It dried to a nicely textured matte finish. Very pretty polish that has been discontinued but is still currently available so get one now if you like it!

Matte and Gloss Nails With OPI

Sometimes a manicure just won't photograph well! This is the gorgeous OPI Love Angel Music Baby, which is a matte polish, with glossy asymmetrical french tips. It looked spectacular in real life but I could barely get the change in finishes to show up at all in my photos. Oh well. The polish is  still pretty!
For any craft beer lovers out there, this is my beloved Prairie Artisan Ales Dino glass in silver & gold.

Fastest Christmas Nails Ever!

I love Zoya's recent Matte Velvet collection and I knew I'd be pulling them for holiday manicures as soon as they arrived. Here I present the fastest, easiest Christmas nails ever. I simply alternated Zoya Posh and Zoya Veruschka on my nails and the results are so fun. These polishes work best without base or top coats and they dry super fast. You could be out the door and super festive in almost no time; everyone loved them!

Zoya Dovima And Loredana: A Nail Art Comparison

I really loved Zoya's Matte Velvet collection and thought I'd show you a side by side comparison of the two grey polishes, Dovima and Loredana. I started with a coat of Loredana and then added a stripe of Dovima down the middle of each nail. Personally I think you need both if you're a matte polish lover. Dovima definitely reads as black most of the time while Loredana is more of a gunmetal grey.

Zoya Harlow

Zoya Harlow is from their Matte Velvet collection!
Zoya Harlow has the most metallic look of all of the polishes in this collection with a truly gorgeous brushed aluminum finish in a rich plum color. Many mattes show brushstrokes and have dragging issues when applying but Harlow applied very nicely. Shown here in 2 easily applied coats, one thin and one a bit thicker. Zoya Harlow also dries super fast so you can get out the door in a hurry.
This collection is meant to be worn without base or top coat to get that super matte finish so the wear time isn't as long as a regular manicure. Harlow showed tip wear faster than any of the other polishes in this set (in less than 24 hours) and might be best used as a special occasion polish. On the other hand I was able to easily fix my manicure with an additional thin coat just on the nails that needed it. it looked great again in just a few minutes which isn't the case when trying to fix a polish with a creme finish. For me the trade off is well worth it!

Zoya Veruschka

Zoya Veruschka is from their Matte Velvet collection!

I love this entire collection but I think Zoya Veruschka is my favorite. So many people asked me about this polish while I was out running errands! Shown here at 2 easily applied and fast drying coats. The Matte Velvet collection is meant to be worn without base coat or top coat and because of this you can't expect them to last as long as a regular manicure. However I'm happy to report that Veruschka proved to be a real trooper. I searched through a giant crazy store for Halloween outfits, trying on 36 dresses in one day and Veruschka made it though just fine with o chipping or even any tip wear. A new favorite for sure!

Circus Chic Nails With Zoya!

This fun and easy manicure would work well with so many Halloween costumes. Everyone is talking about American Horror Story Freak Show and I'm dressing as a scary clown this year. I started with Zoya Posh and added freehand stripes of Zoya Savita. I love Halloween!

Zoya Savita

Zoya Savita is from their Matte Velvet collection!
Zoya Savita is a rich purple matte polish with a hint of shimmer; it really does look like velvet! Shown here at 2 easily applied coats, just be sure to wait a few minutes in between to avoid dragging. A stunning polish that wore very well for a matte with no chips or even any tip wear after 2 days. Great for Halloween and another winner from Zoya. This whole collection is just spectacular!

Can you guess who I might be for Halloween? What if my shirt was blue, my belt buckle was gold, and my shorts were khaki?
How about now? The colors of the outfit aren't right but I just wanted to see if I was comfortable wearing short shorts with a belt and combat boots which is not my normal look! And I needed to see if my hair was long enough to get the right hairstyle. I think if I can find the right colored clothing and make myself a sweet gun holster with thigh straps I can totally pull off Lara Croft from Tomb Raider! Are you dressing up for Halloween? Tell me what you're going to be!

Zoya Posh

Zoya Posh is from their Matte Velvet collection!
Zoya Posh is a truly sexy matte red polish with a hint of shimmer. The whole matte velvet collection is really stunning and I've gotten so many compliments every time I wear any of them. Posh is super pigmented so a careful polisher might be able to get away with just one coat. It's shown here at 2 coats that applied nicely and dried super fast. Zoya calls Posh a metallic but I think velvet is really the correct descriptor. So gorgeous and a definite keeper! This one wore very well for a matte polish and still looked perfect after 2 and half days. I took lots of pictures of this one since it's a new favorite and perfect for Halloween!

My talented sister Alisa put together this spooky dollhouse Halloween scene in my medicine cabinet for my recent pumpkin carving party. She found some amazing pieces online like the bunny and witch Halloween masks on the left! She also made some of the furniture by hand and I love thing whole thing so much!

Easy Halloween Nails With Zoya

I love Halloween! Here are the simple nails I wore for my 7th Annual Potluck, Power Tools, & Pumpkins party last weekend. I started with a base of Zoya Loredana, added a thick stripe down the center of each nail in Zoya Dovima, and finished them off with Xs in Zoya Destiny. (Destiny is so stunning!)
I've got a few pictures of some of our decorations too. If you've ever thought about trying out Martha Stewart's witch curtain idea, go for it! Super easy, cheap and you can work on them while watching tv. I love to watch them blowing in the wind. The skull stepping stone is a permanent fixture that I made 2 years ago. The red eyeball is 7 feet in diameter and painted on a round tablecloth for Dollar Tree!  We drew some eyes on ping pong balls for the creepy wreath. Do you decorate for Halloween? I'd love to see some pictures!
