The sparkly sandy finish of the Zoya Pixie Dust polishes reminds me of mid century gravel art like this example! I started with a base of Zoya Stevie then added half circles of Zoya Beatrix, finished with an outline in Zoya London. I might try a more elaborate version some time in the future.

Zoya Stevie: A New Top 5 Favorite!
Zoya Stevie is a stunning polish from the Summer 2013 Pixie Dust collection.
Here's what Zoya has to say about this collection.
Infused with even more magic and wonder! Because everyone wants more of it... The color experts at Zoya went back to the lab and created six more beautiful, long-wearing textured, matte and sparkle Zoya PixieDust Colors for Summer 2013! The incredible and best-selling formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other.
IMPORTANT PixieDust Application Information - Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The PixieDust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!
Zoya Stevie is a new top 5 favorite polish for me. I just can't get enough of the Pixie Dust polishes & this one has stolen my heart. Stevie is a pretty orchid purple that looks good with 2 coats but even better at 3. Easy to apply as long you wait a bit between coats to avoid dragging. The Pixie Dust polishes never require clean up because they stay right where you put them, never any pooling. They are great for nail art for the same reason.

Bumblebee Nails With Zoya Pixie Dusts!
I'm often in a hurry like so many of us these days & sometimes I just need to make a snap decision about what to do with my nails & go for it. My bumblebee nails were based on one of those quick decisions & I can't believe how much I love the results!
I always paint my nails using a new color (yes it's been months, possibly over a year, since I've started with a polish already in my collection...) & then try to do some nail art on that color the next day. I started with Zoya Solange & then added some thick stripes of Zoya Dahlia. Instant fuzzy bumblebee nails! (Although I suppose flocking powder would really create the ultimate fuzzy bumblebee manicure.)
Just for fun, here's an adorable infographic explaining why bees love hexagons so much.

Like all of the Pixie Dusts, I'm totally in love with Zoya Solange. It looks like they used the same exclusive pigment for this one as they did in Zoya Kerry (a new favorite!) Solange is a super cheery yellow gold texture polish with tons of sparkle. It's fantastic & unique & one of the best yellow polishes I've ever laid eyes on. Show here at just two easily applied coats; just be sure to wait several minutes between coats.

The incredible and best-selling formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other.Zoya Liberty is a fantastic blue polish that makes me think of superheroes! I used my regular base coat, Nail Tek Foundation II & let it dry completely before applying Liberty. Applies easily in 2 coats as long as you wait for each coat to dry before moving to the next one. All of the Pixie Dust polishes wear very well even without top coat & stay truly matte even after the application of hand lotion. I adore them all!

Zoya Destiny
Zoya Destiny is a spectacular polish from the Summer 2013 Pixie Dust collection.

The incredible and best-selling formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other.Zoya Destiny looks like super fizzy orange pop magically transformed into a gorgeous & totally unique nail polish! Or maybe a gumdrop coated with orange & gold sparkly sugar. This will be the perfect summer pedicure polish, since the Pixie Dust polishes are very long wearing. I really can't gush enough; I love Zoya Destiny!
I used my regular base coat Nail Tek Foundation II this time just to see if it adversely affected the finish. I let it dry completely before applying Destiny & noticed no change in the finish. Destiny looks good after two coats but I think it looks even more vibrant with three. Application is very easy as long as you make sure to wait for each coat to dry before applying the next to avoid dragging.

Sponged Layering With Zoya Apple & Zoya Vespa
I tried this technique a few days ago & I couldn't wait to try it again. The results aren't as dramatic as last time but still very pretty!
For this manicure I started with my Zoya Vespa nails from yesterday. I added a thin layer of Zoya Apple & then used a makeup sponge to take off most of that layer leaving behind the gorgeous golden flecks & intensifying the green. Gorgeous & super, super easy. I think this technique would work with some of Zoya's other shimmer polishes like Fei Fei.or Faye.

Zoya Vespa
Zoya Vespa is a textured glitter polish from the Zoya Pixie Dust Collection.
Here's what Zoya has to say about these polishes.Infused with magic and wonder! The latest "must-have" nail polish finish - textured, matte and sparkling! This newly developed formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other. The color experts at Zoya have created six, long-wearing stunners for the introduction of this enchanting look.I followed the above instructions, no base coat or top coat. Application is very easy as long as you stick with thin coats & make sure to let them dry completely before adding another. Otherwise you'll have some dragging like with most matte polishes. Zoya Vespa needs three coats for full coverage.
IMPORTANT Pixie Dust Application Information - Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The Pixie Dust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!

Sponged Layering With Zoya Edyta & Zoya Nyx
I love the Zoya Pixie Dust so much; I can't wait for the summer collection to come out so I can have more colors! In the meantime I've been experimenting with ways to layer & keep the matte texture.
For this manicure I started with my Zoya Nyx nails from yesterday. I added a thin layer of Zoya Edyta & then used a makeup sponge to take off most of that layer leaving behind the gorgeous golden flecks & a hint of the dark green base color. I love it!!! My nails looked like some sort of mineral or maybe antique hammered gold. Gorgeous & super, super easy. I think this technique would work with some of Zoya's other shimmer polishes like Fei Fei.or Faye.
