Layering With Milani Diamond Dazzle

I'm not usually interested in glitter toppers but Milani Diamond Dazzle is awfully pretty! This is one coat of Diamond Dazzle layered over Milani Deep Thoughts. I love the delicate pastel glitter and it was very easy to apply with great coverage in just one coat. Easy to remove for a glitter polish too.

Quick Glitter Gradient

Glitter gradients will probably always be my favorite go to nail look. They are fast, easy, foolproof, and fancy every time. For this version I started with a base of Milani Blackberry Baby and then added Sation Rich In Opportunities. I really wish Sation was still making polish; they had so many great colors and I loved their wide brush. Do any of you have any beloved Sations?

Milani Metallic Mango

Milani Metallic brushstrokes is shown here at 2 coats. It's too full of brushstrokes to be a keeper for me; I don't want to mess with brushstrokey polish unless it will look super metallic and chrome like when I'm done. Perfectly fine polish but just nor for me.

Milani Deep Thoughts

Milani Deep Thoughts is from Spring of 2012. It's shown here at 2 very easily applied coats despite the super skinny brush which is just not to my liking. Deep Thoughts is a blackened purple shimmer, very pretty but just not my style.

Milani Blackberry Baby

Milani Blackberry Baby is a blackened burgundy shimmer polish shown here at 2 coats. IT has excellent coverage and you could almost get away worth just one but you have to be very careful of brushstrokes.I really don't like Milani's super skinny brush but that is just a matter of personal preference. Blackberry Baby is a very pretty polish but the brushstrokey finish feels a bit dated to me and it's just not my style.

Simple Nail Art With Milani

I love this fun nail art combo. Somehow it reminds of the 1980's and art deco at the same time. I started with Milani Gold Glitz, such a gorgeous gold, and then added Milani Fresh Teal, in a sideways V. Super easy and super cool!

Milani Gold Glitz

I'm not a huge fan of glitter polishes but Milani Gold Glitz is so glamorous and gorgeous! Shown here at 2 easily applied coats. The glitter tends to completely settle to the bottom of the bottle over time but it's fixed quickly with a few turns of the bottle. Gold Glitz features a warm gold micro glitter with sparse copper micro glitter too. Looks great with or without a top coat. I love it!

Simple Nail Art With Milani

Earlier this year I struck manicure gold when I did these stunning nails with my beloved China Glaze 2NITE holo polish. Since I liked the look so much I decided to do something similar with some Milani polishes. Here we have Milani Fresh Teal with a wide strip of Milani HD. I love it & it's so easy!

Milani Fresh Teal

Milani Fresh Teal is shown here at 2 coats. Milani Neons like this one have been popping up at Dollar Trees around the country recently so keep an eye out if you like neons! Fresh Teal has a good formula and is a definite keeper for me. The only thing I don't like about this line is the painted bottles. The polish color is actually quite different than the bottle but if you can find it for a buck they are a great value.

Milani Blue Flash & Purple Gleam Are Accidental Texture Polishes!

When I tried the amazing Zoya Pixie Dusts I noticed the formulas reminded me of two older Milani polishes that I love, Purple Gleam & Blue Flash. If you read my earlier blog posts, I mention that they dry matte & gritty. Since the texture craze hadn't started yet, I added two coats of topcoat & took my photos. Anyway, I pulled them out to see how they compared to my Pixie Dusts & you can see the results for yourself. Now I have an amazing dark purple & a lovely blue to add to my sparkly textured polish collection. Purple Gleam & Blue Flash are One Coat Glitters from Milani's Rockstar Heavy Glitter Collection & it looks like there might be a few more accidental Pixie Dust type polishes in there!

Layering With Lime Crime Pastelchio & Milani HD

I've been meaning to try using Milani HD as a holographic topcoat & I thought Lime Crime Pastelchio would be fun to use as a base color. I had to be a bit careful when applting to keep it from being streaky but it worked pretty well. I would love to have an actual neon lime green holo polish!

Milani Purple Gleam

Another amazing Milani One Coat Glitter, I think I love this one even more than Blue Flash! Milani Purple Gleam is an orchid purple & black micro glitter polish that covers well in just two coats. Dries a bit gritty & matte so needs a couple of coats of topcoat, but totally worth it. Wait a few minutes between coats to avoid dragging. Drop dead gorgeous!
A shot from my friend David Liss's book, Black Panther: Man Without Fear!

Milani Blue Flash & Some Nail Art

This is two coats of the super sexy Milani Blue flash. Easy to apply  as long as you wait a few minutes between coats. It dries a bit gritty & with a matte finish so it needed a couple of coats of topcoat but it's well worth it in my opinion. Gorgeous deep teal & sparse black micro glitter!
One of my new favorite books, Among Others by Jo Walton, also happens to have a pretty cover.

The next day I add a bit of China Glaze Ruby Pumps. I love this manicure, super hero glitter nails!

Milani 3D

I  won my first Milani polishes from Maria of Nails Made Simple. Be sure and check out her great blog if you haven't already done so.
This is 2 coats of Milani HD. I love holos this has a nice formula but most golds don't look so great on me. I think I'll be passing this one on to a new home.

Milani HD & One OF My Favorite Manicures Of This Year

I  won my first Milani polishes from Maria of Nails Made Simple. Be sure and check out her great blog if you haven't already done so.
This is 2 coats of Milani HD. I love holos! Nice formula and all around gorgeous polish.
The next day I used 2 strips of tape to form a triangle and then filled it in with one coat of Zoya Faye, one of my favorite polishes. I love the effect! Faye is just sheer enough that the holo effect still shows through.
