Sation Of Corset I'll Call You

This is 2 coats of Sation Of Corset I'll Call You from their Miss Antoinette Spring 2013 collection. I really didn't like pink polish when I started blogging way back in 2009 but the color has grown on me & this is now my favorite straight up pink polish. Squishy jelly finish that applies smoothly in just two coats. Lovely!

Zoya Gie Gie

Zoya Gie Gie is a pleasant surprise for me. I was sure it would be my least favorite from the Zoya Spring 2013 Lovely collection, but I ended up loving it! Nice pale pink with white shimmer. I used 3 coats for full opacity. Very pretty!

Zoya Paloma

Here we have Zoya Paloma from their NYFW 2012 Gloss Collection, a sheer deep fuchsia-berry with a buildable jelly gloss finish. All of the polishes from this set work better with thick coats. The formula is a bit streaky & sticky but using thick coats made it much easier to use. I only used 2 coats for these photos. I think it's lovely!

Lime Crime Parfait Day & Neapolitan Ice Cream Nails!

Lime Crime has released their first nail polish collection & they've done quite a good job. The packaging is fabulous, full of purple, glitter & unicorns. I love the bottle shape & the brushes are a bit wider than most which I always prefer. The collection, called Les Desserts d'Antoinette, contains a rainbow of pastel shades & an off white.  The formulas were all a little on the thick side & work much better with thick, as opposed to thin coats. Overall a very good first polish offering! Here's what Lime Crime has to say about their polishes.

7 pastel shades, inspired by confectionery delights from Marie Antoinette's table. Recklessly pigmented crème formula is rich, smooth and opaque in just two coats. Each bottle comes equipped with a flat, wide brush for superb control and flawless application. Never tested on animals. 3-Free.

Lime Crime Parfait Day is a super bright pink that reminds me of strawberry ice cream. This color isn't really my style so I gave it away to an appreciative friend. Shown here at 2 coats.

Since this color reminded me of strawberry ice cream, I thought it might be fun to try some Neapolitan ice cream nails. It was one of those ideas that came in a flash & ended up being so much cuter than I imagined. I used Lime Crime Milky Ways & Maybelline Matte Stone for the other ice cream colors. I just free-handed this one because I didn't one the lines to be too perfect. Will & I had a party at our lace the night I was wearing these nails & they were a big hit!

Sation Hot 4 Teacher & Halftone Nail Art

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website. Sation has just released a limited edition collection called Class of Sation, available now.
Sation Hot 4 Teacher is a magenta neon creme. Two coats for opacity. It does dry matte, like most neons, so you'll need a top coat to add shine & help level it out a bit. Pretty color for summer but I think I'll pass this one along to a friend who loves neons more than I do. I can't resist posting this video!

The next day I tried some stamping but I couldn't get the colors bright enough so I pulled out my dotting tools instead for this halftone manicure. I used Essie Brazilliant, American Apparel Hassid, Quirius Caribbean Turquoise, & Sation Miss Emo Shun All. I tried this idea almost 3 years ago with different colors but I really love this one!

Sation Chatty Catty & A Second Try At Some Easy Nail Art

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website. Sation has just released a limited edition collection called Class of Sation, available now.
I know I recently said I'm not a fan of neons, but I love Sation Chatty Catty for some reason. It's very flattering with my skin tone & is a fantastic color for my hot, sticky Oklahoma summers. Neon orange-ish pink with a fantastic formula, especially for a neon. I barely needed two coats & it dried very quickly. Like most neon it dries with a matte, satin finish that looks cool on it's own or great with a topcoat.
Looks pretty with blue!
One of my past manicures recently ended up on fuck yeah nail art; if you're the one who submitted I'd like to thank you very much! Since everyone seemed to like it I decided to try it again with new colors. I like the results quite a bit, neutral & neon!

Sation Pink Opal

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. The formula on all the ones I've tried is excellent. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website.

Sation Pink OPal is a very saturated & cheery hot pink jelly polish with just a hint of shimmer. Not the most unique polish, but very pretty; looks like candy! Shown here at 2 coats.

Sation Holiday Pink & Some Lovely Roses

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. The formula on all the ones I've tried is excellent. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website.

Sation Holiday Pink reminds me of Watermelon Bubble Yum!It's a nice pink creme that's opaque in 2 easily applied coats. Here's a couple of shots of the lovely roses that came with our house. So pretty!

Zoya Shelby & A Pretty Accent Nail

I didn't think I liked Zoya Shelby at first; it's just SO pink! It grew on me though & I'm definitely keeping it. Shelby is a very cool toned bubblegum pink cream. The formula is very pigmented but a bit thick & streaky. It evened out just fine after 3 coats.

I found this amazing image in an old Mechanix Illustrated image
The next day I saw my sister Ashley & she had a new purse that inspired my accent nail. Turns out the Zoya Beach Collection has every color I needed! I used Zoya Arizona & Zoya Lara.

Zoya Rory & A Rather Boring Gradient

This is 2 coats of Zoya Rory, a "medium mauve pink with lilac tones, gold and silver reflective metallic shimmer accents, and a foil-like finish." The formula is just like Zoya Edyta & you'll need to wait a few minutes between coats. I"m passing this one to a friend as I just don't like the way it looks with my skin tone.
The next day I was feeling uninspired so I tried one of my favorite easy techniques & applied a quick sponge gradient with Zoya Carly. The results were just kind of blah & I looked for another color to stamp on top but nothing quite worked out. Not a bad manicure, just kind of boring.
