Sally Hansen City Slicker

Sally Hansen Insta Dri City Slicker is a fabulous purple creme with lots of red that barely needs a second coat. I love the wide brushes from this line too!

China Glaze Don't Get Derailed

China Glaze Don't Get Derailed is from their fall 2014 All Aboard collection. It's a desaturated army green that leans very gray. Easily applied in two thin coats.

Nail Art Failure

Well, I accidentally did some nail art that's so subtle it's effectively pointless! Wearing China Glaze Cherry Pie with a side swipe of Roguish Red. The colors are so similar that it just looks like the shimmer is missing in the swipe but only if you look REALLY hard. Still great polishes though and not every experiment turns out well.

China Glaze Cherry Pie

China Glaze Cherry Pie is from their amazing Summer Days 2009 Collection. It's a bright fiery red with glass flecked shimmer. Truly stunning, shown here at two easily applied coats!

Sally Hansen Big Smoky Top Coat

Sally Hansen Big Smoky Top Coat isn't meant to be worn alone but I decided to try it out anyway. It's a bit streaky so I needed 3 coats to get it even but it's pretty easy to apply. I wish I could have gotten it streak free with just two coats since I liked it a bit less opaque than shown here. I won't be using it again as an actual polish but it will be fun to try some Halloween looks using it as a top coat.

Quick Geometric Nail Art With OPI

Just some quick nail art with OPI Hey Get In Lime and OPI DS Signature. This color combo looked prettier in my head than in reality.

Layering With Zoya Bar and Frida

I'm a huge fan of the discontinued Pixie Dust polishes and would have been happy to have them in even more colors then they made so I tried layering to get a "new" Pixie Dust polish. This attempt didn't quite work but the idea is solid. I started with a base of Zoya Bar and then tried to brush a thin layer of Zoya Frida on top but it was a bit too streaky. I think this would have worked great if I had sponged on Frida instead. Still looked pretty from a distance though!

Zoya Isa & Serenity

This manicure was so easy but the results are gorgeous. I started with a base of Zoya Serenity and the next day I added a swipe of Zoya Isa to one side of may nail and then wiped the brush mostly dry so I could drag out Isa with a dry brush. Super simple and no extra brushes needed.
