Zoya Kerry

Zoya Kerry is from the Summer 2013 Irresistible collection.

I've never seen a yellow metallic like Zoya Kerry! Shown here at three coats with no top coat. (I rarely use top coat on metallic polishes since they just don't seem to need it) Kerry catches every lit bit of light & reflects it back, making this polish practically glow even in low light. A gorgeous new favorite for sure!!

Zoya Liberty

Zoya Liberty is a stunning blue polish from their Summer 2013 Pixie Dust collection.

Here's what Zoya has to say about this collection.
Infused with even more magic and wonder! Because everyone wants more of it... The color experts at Zoya went back to the lab and created six more beautiful, long-wearing textured, matte and sparkle Zoya PixieDust Colors for Summer 2013! The incredible and best-selling formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other.

IMPORTANT PixieDust Application Information - Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The PixieDust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!
Zoya Liberty is a fantastic blue polish that makes me think of superheroes! I used my regular base coat, Nail Tek Foundation II & let it dry completely before applying Liberty. Applies easily in 2 coats as long as you wait for each coat to dry before moving to the next one. All of the Pixie Dust polishes wear very well even without top coat & stay truly matte even after the application of hand lotion. I adore them all!

Zoya Destiny looks like super fizzy orange pop magically transformed into a gorgeous & totally unique nail polish! Or maybe a gumdrop coated with orange & gold sparkly sugar. This will be the perfect summer pedicure polish, since the Pixie Dust polishes are very long wearing. I really can't gush enough; I love Zoya Destiny!

I used my regular base coat Nail Tek Foundation II this time just to see if it adversely affected the finish. I let it dry completely before applying Destiny & noticed no change in the finish. Destiny looks good after two coats but I think it looks even more vibrant with three. Application is very easy as long as you make sure to wait for each coat to dry before applying the next to avoid dragging.

Sation Dating The Duke - The Perfect Turquoise Creme!

This is two easily applied coats of Sation Dating The Duke their Miss Antoinette Spring 2013 collection. It's the most perfectly turquoise polish I've ever used. The formula is great but there were a few bits of unmixed pigment in the bottom of my bottle; this had no effect on application though. I got tons of compliments on this one & I love it!

Sation Of Corset I'll Call You

This is 2 coats of Sation Of Corset I'll Call You from their Miss Antoinette Spring 2013 collection. I really didn't like pink polish when I started blogging way back in 2009 but the color has grown on me & this is now my favorite straight up pink polish. Squishy jelly finish that applies smoothly in just two coats. Lovely!

Sation Half Moon & French Nails

Sation Love At First Byte seemed like an excellent base for some classic nail art. I used hole reinforcements  to add half moons & french tips in Sation Chatty Catty. Using the hole reinforcements as guides makes this manicure easy enough for anyone to try for both hands. One of my all time favorite manicures!

Zoya Dahlia

Zoya Dahlia is another fantastic polish from the Zoya Pixie Dust Collection.

Here's what Zoya has to say about these polishes.

Infused with magic and wonder! The latest "must-have" nail polish finish - textured, matte and sparkling! This newly developed formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other. The color experts at Zoya have created six, long-wearing stunners for the introduction of this enchanting look.

IMPORTANT Pixie Dust Application Information - Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The Pixie Dust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!
I followed the above instructions, no base coat or top coat. Application is very easy as long as you stick with thin coats & make sure to let them dry completely before adding another. Otherwise you'll have some dragging like with most matte polishes. Zoya Dahlia only needs two coats for full coverage.
I'm a voracious reader & this book was an excellent read whose cover happened to look lovely with my nails.

I love Dahlia just as much as I loved Chyna from the same collection. I thought the gritty texture might bother me but it didn't at all. It looks exactly like a black sparkly sandpaper that I use sometimes for concrete projects. Not nearly as scratchy of course!
Both Chyna & Dhalia wear very well even without base or top coats & stay truly matte even after the application of hand lotion. Dahlia is another winner!

Zoya Chyna

My first textured polish post! I really didn't know what to make of all of the promo pictures from different companies touting their upcoming textured collections. It just seemed strange. I have to say the Zoya Pixie Dust Collection has completely won me over!

Here's what Zoya has to say about these polishes.
Infused with magic and wonder! The latest "must-have" nail polish finish - textured, matte and sparkling! This newly developed formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other.

I tried Zoya Chyna first & followed the above instructions, no base coat or top coat. Application is very easy as long as you stick with thin coats & make sure to let them dry completely before adding another. Otherwise you'll have some dragging like with most matte polishes. I only needed two coats for full coverage.

Chyna is the first polish I've used in some time that had me mesmerized by nails. So unique & drop dead gorgeous! I took tons of pictures but I wasn't able to capture the beautiful sparkle like I wanted.

I wanted to see how well these wore without base or topcoat & I'm pleasantly surprised to say that this lasted four days with no chips. I never keep my nails the same for that long but I just loved this so much! I also noticed that these stay truly matte no matter how much lotion I applied unlike regular matte polishes. An all around stunner & new favorite. Even my boyfriend Will loves it & is sporting it on his toes right now!

Ashley's Favorites! Icing My Blue Heaven

My sister Ashley is the one who got me started wearing nail polish. She has very particular tastes so her polish collection is very small & filled with mostly cremes. She loves every single one of them though & wears them all enough to need backups.
Icing My Blue Heaven is one that I see her wearing often, so I snapped some quick photos. Shown here at two coats.

Sinful Colors Cinderella

This one was on my wishlist for quite some time & it doesn't disappoint. The formula is streaky & thin, it takes 4 coats to reach full opacity, & it takes a long time to dry but I still love it. Gorgeous baby blue with tiny flakies, so pretty! The next time I use it I'll layer it over something so I don't need 4 coats.
