OPI You Don't Know Jacques - Regular VS Suede

Here's some quick nail art featuring a comparison of OPI You Don't Know Jacques original and suede versions. I like them both and I love the combination!

OPI You Don't Know Jacques!

OPI You Don't Know Jacques! was originally from their Fall 2008 La Collection de France but has since been made part of their Classics collection. It was a huge hit when released and is still a great color. Shown here at three thin coats - application was mostly good but the formula is very thin so the polish did flood my cuticles a couple of times. Still a winner though!

Nails Inc Hampstead Gardens

My sister has been going through her polish collection and discovered this weird but beautiful polish hiding in her stash. She's wearing Nails Inc Hampstead Gardens shown here at two easily applied coats. This shade is definitely not for everyone but it looks great with most of her wardrobe and is such a unique color. Great polish and thanks for sharing Ashley!

Essie Mink Muffs

Essie Mink Muffs is part of their core line. It's a sort of smoky milk chocolate creme color that looks great on lots of people. I still hate Essie's skinny brush but the formula is perfectly fine and opaque in 2 coats.

Revlon French Roast

Revlon French Roast is shown here at 2 coats; the formula was just fine but the brush was not. The brush is very stiff with uneven bristles which made application a bit tricky. I only have one other Revlon Colorstay polish and I don't remember it being terrible so maybe I just got a bad brush. The color of the polish is a bit disappointing too. There is nothing wrong with it per se but there are tiny multi colored shimmer particles visible in the bottle that look really cool but they disappear on the nail. It looks like a plain brown creme 99% of the time and maybe like it has a bit of regular shimmer the other 1%. Perfectly fine color but I have other brown cremes that I like better so I'll be passing this one along to a friend.

I love the Chew series from Image comics! Antonelle and Secret Agent Poyo are my favorite characters. You can keep up with what I'm reading on Goodreads!

Nicole By OPI Pick Of The Glitter

I only have a few Nicole By OPI polishes and I'm still not sure what I think of the bottle overall; I don know it's a bit awkward to hold in photos though! Pictured here we have Nicole By OPI Promises In The Dark topped with one coat of Nicole By OPI Pick Of The Glitter. Pick of the glitter is very dense and I love the combination of turquoise and copper glitters but it's really just not my style so I'll be passing this one along to a friend.

Nicole By OPI Promises In The Dark

Nicole By OPI Promises In The Dark was part of a promotion early this year involving Dove Chocolate. They gave away 25,000 sets of two polishes & a coupon for chocolate. I was a lucky winner! The bottle is very oddly shaped & so difficult to hold for pictures without looking awkward! I love the wide brush though.

Nicole By OPI Promises In The Dark is a very dark chocolate brown that looks black in most light. Shown here at 2 coats that went on like a dream thanks to the wide brush and excellent formula. I'll still be passing this one along to a friend though since it's just too dark for me.

Zoya Autumn

Zoya Autumn is from their Fall 2014 Ignite Collection.
Zoya Autumn is the copper polish of my dreams! No other company does micro shimmer as well as Zoya and this copper polish loaded with gold flecks is a real show stopper. The first coat is patchy but everything looks magically perfect by the second coat. Truly gorgeous!

Zoya Chanelle

Zoya Chanelle is from their Naturel 2 collection and is described as a toasted almond cream. I'd call it a medium toned, well balanced brown that will look nice on a wide range of people. Chanelle is shown here at 2 coats that provided fantastic coverage but weren't the most self-leveling so a top coat is definitely required. Overall it's a lovely color that dries about 2 shades darker than bottle color and a keeper for me since I don't have anything quite like it.

Zoya Emilia

Zoya Emilia is from their Naturel 2 collection. It's a lovely dark chocolate that never looks black even in low light. Nice formula that covers in 2 coats. I don't have many brown polishes and this is definitely a keeper that will look great on my toes this fall!

Nicole By OPI Better After Dark

Nicole By OPI Better After Dark was part of a promotion early this year involving Dove Chocolate. They gave away 25,000 sets of two polishes & a coupon for chocolate. I was a lucky winner! This is the first Nicole By OPI polish I've ever tried. The bottle is very oddly shaped & so difficult to hold for pictures without looking awkward! I love the wide brush though. Better After Dark is a lovely medium brown loaded with red shimmer. It was very sheer at first but looked great after just two coats that practically applied themselves thanks to the combination of the wide brush & excellent formula. Not the most exciting color in the world but definitely a keeper!

Zoya Normani

Zoya Normani is from their first release for 2014, Zoya Naturel.

Zoya Normani is a pale brown creme with a hint of mauve, shown here at two coats. I think it could have used a third since I was trying to apply thin coats because the polish was a bit thick. It's a lovely color that will look great on a wide range of skintones but I'm going to pass this one along to a friend. I prefer Zoya Pasha, a highly underrated polish in my opinion!

Zoya Louise

Zoya Louise is from their Fall 2013 Cashmere collection. I don't have nearly enough brown polishes! Louise is a beautiful dark brown that never looks black. Shown here at 2 easily applied coats. I don't think I've ever done a brown polish on my toes but Louise is going to be my next pedicure color for sure.
