Nail Art Inspired By Chalkboard Nails

I keep a Pinterest board full of nail art I'd love to try someday and I finally got around to trying one of my favorite ideas. Chalkboard Nails is one of my favorite blogs & her adorable Carmen Miranda Ruffle Manicure looked fancy but totally doable. Thanks for the great idea!
I used all 6 colors from Zoya's Tickled Summer 2014 collection for my version and I love how it turned out! Easy enough to do well on both hands too. I started with Zoya Kitridge then added dots in Ling, Rocha, Rooney, Tilda, & Wendy!

Leopard Print Nails With Zoya

I've done leopard print nails a few times before but never with such bright colors. It's such an easy pattern too pull off and you can try so many variations, like my hidden Mickey nails! For this version I started with Zoya Tilda and then added spots with my dotting tools in Zoya Seraphina and Kimber. Fun summer manicure!

Nails Inspired By FRESHbiscuits & A Giveaway!

My friend Bianca asked if I'd be interested in partnering with her to giveaway a handmade wristlet from her Etsy shop, FRESHbiscuits. Of course I said yes! She made a super cute wristlet per my specifications & I've done some nails to match.

I started with a base of Lime Crime Milky Ways, then added some quick stripes with Sation Bump In Beige & Zoya Pepper for this manicure. Next I used dotting tools to make polka dots, first with Lime Crime Milky Ways & then Zoya Pepper right on top of those dots. Finished with a top coat & they came out great!

My Favorite Polka Dots!

Sation Bump In Beige is a truly fantastic polish. I used 2 thin coats to start this manicure. It applies like a dream with no streaks. It's also the best match for my skintone which is exactly what I wanted for this look. I added large & small dots of Sation Snow White in no particular pattern & the results are magical. I couldn't quit staring at my nails & wanted to show them off to everyone. Good thing I have a blog for that! Nude nails with a pattern in a bold color are something I'll be doing again for sure. Also this is very easy to do, so if you like it, give it a try!

It's so cold! I can't wait for winter to end!

Even More Polka Dots!

I loved my last manicure so much that I decided to update it before moving on to something else. This one started with a base of Zoya Thandie. I then added dots of Zoya Rocky & Zoya Blu. The results are pretty impressive for something so easy. If you want to dive into nail art I highly recommend starting with some polka dots using a dotting tool.

Dotticure Inspired By Lucy's Stash

I keep a Pinterest board filled with my favorite nail art to use as inspiration when deciding what I'd like to try next. This time I chose a lovely manicure from the incomparable Lucy's Stash.
I started with a base of Zoya Darcy, then added dots of Zoya Amy & Zoya Hazel. Using a dotting tool to create nail art is really very easy to master allowing you to create manicures that look complex even though they are actually quite low on the difficulty scale. The hardest part about this one was choosing colors!

Zoya Dotted Flower French

This is very out of my comfort zone, so flowery, but I like how it turned out. I started with the drop dead gorgeous Zoya Julie, then added flowers with Zoya Shelby & Zoya Stacy with my dotting tools.

I love polka dot nails! So easy to do & they always look great. I got a new polka dot skirt & I couldn't resist. My skirt is navy with gray dots but I was already wearing Zoya Ray so I just went that instead. I used the lovely Zoya Marley for the dots.
