Zoya Dotted Flower French

This is very out of my comfort zone, so flowery, but I like how it turned out. I started with the drop dead gorgeous Zoya Julie, then added flowers with Zoya Shelby & Zoya Stacy with my dotting tools.

Zoya Ray & Zoya Marley Polka Dots

I love polka dot nails! So easy to do & they always look great. I got a new polka dot skirt & I couldn't resist. My skirt is navy with gray dots but I was already wearing Zoya Ray so I just went that instead. I used the lovely Zoya Marley for the dots.

Lime Crime Once Upon A Blue Mousse & Dots!

Lime Crime has released their first nail polish collection & they've done quite a good job. The packaging is fabulous, full of purple, glitter & unicorns. I love the bottle shape & the brushes are a bit wider than most which I always prefer. The collection, called Les Desserts d'Antoinette, contains a rainbow of pastel shades & an off white.  The formulas were all a little on the thick side & work much better with thick, as opposed to thin coats. Overall a very good first polish offering! Here's what Lime Crime has to say about their polishes.

7 pastel shades, inspired by confectionery delights from Marie Antoinette's table. Recklessly pigmented crème formula is rich, smooth and opaque in just two coats. Each bottle comes equipped with a flat, wide brush for superb control and flawless application. Never tested on animals. 3-Free.

Lime Crime Once Upon A Blue Mousse is a pale sky blue pastel shown here at 2 coats. This could almost be a one coat wonder but the formula was a little too thick & needed another coat to even everything out. Nice color but I have a couple of other sky blue polishes so I gave this one to a grateful friend who already sent me a picture of herself wearing it!

The next day I added some simple polka dots using Lime Crime Crema de Limon & Lavendairy. I always love polka dot nails & they are super easy!

Sation Hot 4 Teacher & Halftone Nail Art

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website. Sation has just released a limited edition collection called Class of Sation, available now.
Sation Hot 4 Teacher is a magenta neon creme. Two coats for opacity. It does dry matte, like most neons, so you'll need a top coat to add shine & help level it out a bit. Pretty color for summer but I think I'll pass this one along to a friend who loves neons more than I do. I can't resist posting this video!

The next day I tried some stamping but I couldn't get the colors bright enough so I pulled out my dotting tools instead for this halftone manicure. I used Essie Brazilliant, American Apparel Hassid, Quirius Caribbean Turquoise, & Sation Miss Emo Shun All. I tried this idea almost 3 years ago with different colors but I really love this one!

Zoya Lara & My Birthday Party Nails!

Zoya Lara is cool-toned magenta creme, nothing earth-shattering but I do like it a lot. It's a lovely bright color that's great for spring & summer, though I know I'll wear it in winter too! Good formula easily applied in 2 coats.
My birthday & Will's are very close so we had a joint birthday party a few weekends ago. I wore a new shirt that just happened to go well with Zoya Lara. I added the matching polka dots with American Apparel Hassid & my trusty dotting tools. Super easy & super cute.

Polka Dots!

I really liked the dot pattern from my last manicure so I decided to do a full manicure with just the dots. I don't like this color scheme as much but I still love the dots!

Nail Art Inspired By My Dress

Just some quick nail art I did to match my dress recently. I couldn't decide which part of the pattern to use so I just did different things on each nail. I used my dotting tools for everything. Essie Little Brown Dress for the base. Pure Ice French Kiss, American Apparel California Trooper, & Zoya Dove for the flowers and dots.

Nail Art Inspired By Nails By Kayla Shevonne

I have tons of posts saved of my favorite nail art from fellow bloggers. This manicure was inspired by Nails By Kayla Shevonne's Cheetah Print manicure from last winter. It's a nice alternative to an all over print & I love her color scheme.
I chose different colors and sadly I smudged it a bit trying out a new topcoat, but I still love it! I used China Glaze Westside Warrior for the base and Maybelline Gold Aluminum & American Apparel Hassid for the spots.

Wet n Wild Teal Of Fortune & Simple Nail Art

This is 3 coats of Wet N Wild Teal of Fortune. Nice formula but I really don't like the brush on this one. It just seems like a big mop. Very pretty turquoise jelly base with turquoise and maybe gold foil particles.
The next day I did some quick simple nail art. I'm not in love with my color choices but you do get to see both hands! I used The gorgeous China Glaze Stellar & Petites Raspberry Ice for the dots.
