Quick Nail Art With Zoya

Pretty color combination perfect for winter & Valentine's Day. I started with Zoya Seraphina, then added a V-shaped french tip in Zoya Gie Gie. Finally finished it off with a couple of stripes of Zoya Carly.

Funky French Manicure With Zoya

I used Zoya Brigitte for the base color, then added Zoya Dannii & Zoya Louise at the tips. Not one of my favorite looks ever, but still pretty & very wearable.

Festive French Manicure With Zoya

Sometimes I don't have any clear ideas in my head but still want to do something with my nails. I thought this manicure was kind of blah when I finished it. Then I saw it in the mirror while I was getting ready for bed & changed my mind. I started with Zoya Sunshine & then added a french tip in Zoya Holly topped with Zoya Rina. I love all of the texture & there is just enough holo in Rina's bar glitter to make this one feel like party worthy nails. I wore it with a cute red & grey dress & felt ready for the holidays.

Chevron Tips With Zoya; Or The Day I Left The House In My Pajamas

This post from Zoya live was the inspiration for these nails, pairing a matte polish with something super shiny. My version with Zoya Dream & Zoya Phoebe turned into one of my favorite manicures of the year. I love this color combination!

Now a brief word about my outfit. I went to a pajama party that night with Chuck Palahniuk, Chelsea Cain, & Monica Drake! It's not easy to figure out what to wear to a public pajama party... My hometown is very lucky to have Booksmart Tulsa bringing incredible author events to town on a regular basis. This one was really over the top. More than 900 people at the downtown library that is closed for renovations. Vandalism allowed! LED beach balls! Spooky stories! Lots of fun! Below is a quick video of the insanity.

Zoya Channing & Zoya Godiva

I topped Zoya Channing with a generous dose of Zoya Godiva for a festive & subtle holiday look. The fabrics for an upscale coat for Mrs Claus perhaps?

Nail Art Inspired By Rodarte Fall 2013

My Pinterest Nail Art Board is full of ideas for me to try & this time I chose this stylish french manicure from Rodarte's Fall 2013 show. I started with a base of Sation Hottie Biscottie then added thin french tips in black, gold, bronze & silver sharpie. I love them! It's extremely easy, a bit edgy & very modern..

French Manicure Inspired By Drusilla

I've finally started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel. I knew I would love the shows, but I had just never gotten around to them. Here we have some simple nails inspired by the character of Drusilla, just in time for Halloween too. She always wore french manicures with various shade of red for the base color. You can see a version here.
For my Drusilla nails I used Zoya Livingston & topped them off with Zoya Gaia. Not a look I would normally wear, but fun for Halloween!

Sation Half Moon & French Nails

Sation Love At First Byte seemed like an excellent base for some classic nail art. I used hole reinforcements  to add half moons & french tips in Sation Chatty Catty. Using the hole reinforcements as guides makes this manicure easy enough for anyone to try for both hands. One of my all time favorite manicures!

Zoya Dotted Flower French

This is very out of my comfort zone, so flowery, but I like how it turned out. I started with the drop dead gorgeous Zoya Julie, then added flowers with Zoya Shelby & Zoya Stacy with my dotting tools.

Heart Parts Valentine's Day Nails

This manicure drew a small crowd when I went shopping the other day. I must say it's one of my recent favorites even though it's bit messy since I did it in a hurry. I just really love this color combination! I started with Sation Overdressed Party, then added the heart parts in Sation Violet Flare, finished with an outline of Sinful Secret Admirer.
Sation polishes will be available for purchase soon. You can check out their facebook page for updates.
