Rhinestone Polka Dot Accent Nail

It's been dark & gloomy & snowy & rainy here so I added some fancy rhinestones to my nails for a bit color among all the dark. The base color is Sation Guillotine Grape.

Sation Guillotine Grape

Here we have two coats of Sation Guillotine Grape from their Miss Antoinette Spring 2013 collection. The first coat goes on streaky but by the second coat you have an evenly toned dark purple shimmer. Very rich color but a bit too dark for me to keep so I'll be passing this one on to a friend.

Zoya Julie

I've been blogging for over three years & I'm still unable to predict which polishes I will fall in love with & the gorgeous Zoya Julie has been a lovely surprise. I was sure that Zoya Blu from their Zoya Spring 2013 Lovely collection would be my favorite but Julie is just so flattering & pretty. I think it my be a new top 10 favorite. Shown here at two very easily applied coats.

Zoya Monica

Shown here is Zoya Toni, from their Fall 2012 NYFW Designer Collection, is a "dark, soft blue-toned purple with a glossy cream finish." It's a lovely polish but I'm passing it on to my sister Ashley who likes it more than me.

Zoya Toni

Here we have Zoya Toni, from their Fall 2012 NYFW Designer Collection, a "dark, warm raisin-wine cream with strong purple tones. A fashionable muted oxblood for a classic vampy nail look." I think it looks exactly like Dr. Pepper Jelly Bellys!

The formula was a bit thick & stringy, but I was able to get it looking nice with 2 coats & a top coat. Zoya Toni dries darker than bottle color & it's darker than I normally like. Somehow I still like this one enough to keep it though. It's unlike any other color I have & I do love Dr. Pepper!

Zoya Daul

This is 2 coats of Zoya Daul from their fall 2012 Diva Collection. Zoya call it "a medium red-toned purple base with heavy purple and gold iridescent metallic sparkle." Similar to the equally gorgeous Zoya Faye but I'm keeping them both since they are both just so beautiful!

Sation Polishes Perfect For Halloween!

Here we have one coat of Sation Miss Emo Shun All topped with one coat of the amazing & totally unique, Sation Ego Friendly. Ego Friendly is a great glitter polish, no fishing & a great formula. It's a mix of small turquoise glitter & shards of black & lime green in a clear base. What a terrific Halloween combination!!

Zoya Suri

Zoya does an amazing job of describing their polishes. I almost always use their description since I can't do a better job. Here's what they have to say about Suri form their fall 2012 Diva Collection. "Suri is a medium blue-toned purple with delicate red and blue shimmer and a smooth metallic finish." Perfect description!

I used 3 coats of Zoya Suri, making sure to wait a few minutes between coats. Be careful of brushstrokes & dragging. Very beautiful polish but a bit too dark for my tastes. Will loves Suri because purple is his favorite color & it reminds him of his car. He's wearing it on his toes right now!

Lime Crime Lavendairy & Layering With Color Club Covered In Diamonds

Lime Crime has released their first nail polish collection & they've done quite a good job. The packaging is fabulous, full of purple, glitter & unicorns. I love the bottle shape & the brushes are a bit wider than most which I always prefer. The collection, called Les Desserts d'Antoinette, contains a rainbow of pastel shades & an off white.  The formulas were all a little on the thick side & work much better with thick, as opposed to thin coats. Overall a very good first polish offering! Here's what Lime Crime has to say about their polishes.

7 pastel shades, inspired by confectionery delights from Marie Antoinette's table. Recklessly pigmented crème formula is rich, smooth and opaque in just two coats. Each bottle comes equipped with a flat, wide brush for superb control and flawless application. Never tested on animals. 3-Free.

Lime Crime Lavendairy is a lovely lilac pastel that I find very flattering with my skin tone. I think it will be on my toes a lot this coming winter. I had a bit of trouble with this one until I figured out that thick coats work better than thin with this collection. Shown here at 2 coats. 

The next day I added a layer of Color Club Covered In Diamonds. It's an interesting polish but sadly the mylar pieces seem to have degraded over time & the polish is even gloppier than that was the last time I'll be using it.

Sation Miss Emo Shun All

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website. Sation has just released a limited edition collection called Class of Sation, available now.

Sation Miss Emo Shun All is a deep, dark indigo creme that dries to a satin finish. Adding topcoat lightens it up just a tad and makes it super shiny. Excellent formula that barely needs two coats.

Here's a shot with my navy shirt so you can really tell how purple this polish is.

I added a gradient with Sation Most Hue-Nique. Glitter gradients are my favorite manicures; they always look fancy a beautiful with very little extra effort!

Milani Purple Gleam

Another amazing Milani One Coat Glitter, I think I love this one even more than Blue Flash! Milani Purple Gleam is an orchid purple & black micro glitter polish that covers well in just two coats. Dries a bit gritty & matte so needs a couple of coats of topcoat, but totally worth it. Wait a few minutes between coats to avoid dragging. Drop dead gorgeous!

Sation Just Lilac That

Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. The formula on all the ones I've tried is excellent. You can purchase Sation's Big 3 Free polishes at their website. Sation has just released their first limited edition collection, California Gleamin', available now!

Sation Just Lilac That is a fun summer color with an excellent formula especially for a pale cream polish. Shown here at two coats, Just Lilac That is a very pink leaning lilac cream that I found very flattering. Definitely a keeper!

These last two pictures were taken with my one of my favorite games, Lunch Money. It's easy to learn, fun to play, & just looks really creepy & cool!

Chain Of Hearts Nail Art

Just a quick post with an old manicure that I didn't manage to get any great pictures of even though I really liked it! I used The drop dead gorgeous Zoya Keiko for the base & Zoya Chloe for the flakies inside the heart. Same chain & technique as these nails I did last Christmas.

My Second Accidental Eggplant Manicure

Somehow this is the second time I've accidentally made my nails look like eggplants! Here's the first time if you're curious. I was trying to do a completely different manicure this time but I messed it up. I decided to try and fix it with my favorite easy nail art. By the time I was on the second finger I realized that I'd done it again, accidental eggplant!

I used Zoya Carly for the base & Zoya Apple for the tips.
