Sation Napoleon Dyna-Matte

I'm a huge fan of Sation polishes & their new fall collection, The Miss-terranean, is lovely.
Sation Napoleon Dyna-Matte is not matte which is mildly annoying because of the name but it's a great polish nonetheless. Beautiful red creme with a superb formula & brush that covers in just one coat. I love one coat wonders!

Zoya Pepper

Zoya Pepper is from their Fall 2013 Cashmere collection.Pepper was originally designed for Peter Som AW/13. It's a nice red velvet cake colored polish that applies nicely in 2 coats. It's very opaque but I'd still cal this one a jelly polish. If purchasing in person, be aware that it dries about 2 shades darker than bottle color.I don't have anything quite like it in my stash so I'm keeping it for sure.

Sation Peppermint Pedi is a nice red creme that leans just a bit on the orange side. Applies nicely in two coats. Another keeper form Sation; look how nicely it goes with my jacket!

French Manicure Inspired By Drusilla

I've finally started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel. I knew I would love the shows, but I had just never gotten around to them. Here we have some simple nails inspired by the character of Drusilla, just in time for Halloween too. She always wore french manicures with various shade of red for the base color. You can see a version here.
For my Drusilla nails I used Zoya Livingston & topped them off with Zoya Gaia. Not a look I would normally wear, but fun for Halloween!

Zoya Channing

Zoya Channing is from the new Satins - Fall 2013 collection. It's a rusty red metallic foil with fantastic coverage. You could probably get away with one coat if you're careful! I used two coats here & a topcoat. Great fall polish!

Zoya Arabella vs Zoya Miranda Comparison

Zoya Arabella on the left & Zoya Miranda on the right. Very similar but Arabella is a much deeper color which makes sense since it's from the fall collection. Arabella also leans more purple while Miranda is more pure rose. I'm keeping them both!

Zoya Arabella

Zoya Arabella is from the new Pixie Dust Fall 2013 collection. My regular readers know I LOVE the Zoya Pixie Dust polishes & I couldn't be happier with this new set! Here's what Zoya has to say about them.
Infused with even more magic and wonder! Because everyone wants more of it... The color experts at Zoya went back to the lab and created six more beautiful, long-wearing textured, matte and sparkle Zoya PixieDust Colors for Fall 2013! The incredible and best-selling formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other.

IMPORTANT PixieDust Application Information -  Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The PixieDust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!
Arabella is a pretty fuchsia that looks good with 2 coats but even better at 3. Easy to apply as long you wait a bit between coats to avoid dragging. The Pixie Dust polishes never require clean up because they stay right where you put them, never any pooling. They are great for nail art for the same reason. I've been using a base coat when I wear them & it doesn't seem to affect the finish as long as you wait for it to completely dry before applying the polish.

Zoya Chyna

My first textured polish post! I really didn't know what to make of all of the promo pictures from different companies touting their upcoming textured collections. It just seemed strange. I have to say the Zoya Pixie Dust Collection has completely won me over!

Here's what Zoya has to say about these polishes.
Infused with magic and wonder! The latest "must-have" nail polish finish - textured, matte and sparkling! This newly developed formula is sure to captivate with a magical sparkle and sugary finish like no other. The color experts at Zoya have created six, long-wearing stunners for the introduction of this enchanting look.

IMPORTANT Pixie Dust Application Information - Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The Pixie Dust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!

I tried Zoya Chyna first & followed the above instructions, no base coat or top coat. Application is very easy as long as you stick with thin coats & make sure to let them dry completely before adding another. Otherwise you'll have some dragging like with most matte polishes. I only needed two coats for full coverage.

Chyna is the first polish I've used in some time that had me mesmerized by nails. So unique & drop dead gorgeous! I took tons of pictures but I wasn't able to capture the beautiful sparkle like I wanted.

I wanted to see how well these wore without base or topcoat & I'm pleasantly surprised to say that this lasted four days with no chips. I never keep my nails the same for that long but I just loved this so much! I also noticed that these stay truly matte no matter how much lotion I applied unlike regular matte polishes. An all around stunner & new favorite. Even my boyfriend Will loves it & is sporting it on his toes right now!
