Zoya Lux
Zoya Lux is from their Spring 2014 Magical Pixie Dust Collection.
I'm a huge fan of Zoya's classic Pixie Dust polishes. That's probably an understatement. If I was forced to choose my top 5 favorite collections of all time, all three of the Classic Pixie Dust collections would be in that list. I wasn't sure if I would love these new Magical Pixie dusts quite as much though. I love holographic polishes but I've never been a huge fan of chunky glitters.
Zoya Lux is the first one I've tried from this new collection so far & it will be the first Pixie Dust that I'm not going to keep, but not for the reason I suspected.
I actually love the bling brought to these beauties with the large holo glitter. The formula is a bit dry but still easy to apply. Lux just doesn't look that great with my skin tone. All of the silver sparkle & holo particles end up washing out the pink pigment quite a bit & it just looked desaturated on my hands. I think it would be lovely with extremely pale skin or dark skin as well. Just not for me.
One other word of caution, these are definitely grittier on your nail than the Classic Pixie Dusts. If texture bothers you, don't go for this collection! I'm still eager to try Cosmo & Vega since I love texture & my worry about the holo glitter proved unfounded. Not to mention dusty blues are my favorite color family.
I thought removal might be rather harsh & difficult but that also ended up being a non issue. My regular removal method worked just fine.
Thanks for reading!
