Mixing Finishes With Zoya

This is a bit outside of my comfort zone and I'm not sure what I think of the finished manicure but I love the colors. I started with a base of Zoya Rayne and then added a stripe of Zoya Raine - a pretty sheer topper. Finally I added a bit of one of my favorite glitter toppers, Zoya Monet.

Sally Hansen Distressed Denim Crackle

I will always love a good crackle polish; they can hide so many problematic manicures in a flash. This time I used Sally Hansen Distressed Denim to tone down a neon polish (China Glaze Sun Of A Peach) that was also bubbly and streaky. Much better!

Layering With Revlon Gold Goddess

I love flakies! This is one coat of Revlon Gold Goddess over Revlon French Roast. It's pretty much an exact dupe for Zoya Maria Luisa. I don't usually keep dupes since I try to keep my stash on the small side (at least for a blogger!) but I love this shade of gold and flakies so it's a keeper!
Love this series! You can keep up with what I'm reading on Goodreads!

Black Hearts

Hmm, sometimes ideas just don't work out quite like you think they will This design is ok and I love the background but I think it would have been much better if the hearts had been a very dark grey instead of straight up black. I started with this delicate layering combo of Zoya Tiana and Chloe and used Zoya Willa for the hearts which just seems too harsh. I think Zoya Genevieve would have been a better choice.

Layering With Zoya

I love flakies! This combo of Zoya Tiana topped with Zoya Chloe still doesn't beat my all time favorite combo but it sure is pretty!

Revlon For Valentine's Day

Here are some quick and easy Valentine's Day nails for you. I started with a base of Revlon Spice It Up and then added a layer of Revlon Sparkling to most of my nails. Revlon Sparkling is a clear base with small circle and medium hex glitter in a nice rosey pink, not my style but pretty. I'm not usually a fan of most glitter toppers though. I added a large heart of Revlon sparkling for an accent nail. Pretty manicure even if it's a bit out of my comfort zone.

Layering With Milani Diamond Dazzle

I'm not usually interested in glitter toppers but Milani Diamond Dazzle is awfully pretty! This is one coat of Diamond Dazzle layered over Milani Deep Thoughts. I love the delicate pastel glitter and it was very easy to apply with great coverage in just one coat. Easy to remove for a glitter polish too.

Nicole By OPI Pick Of The Glitter

I only have a few Nicole By OPI polishes and I'm still not sure what I think of the bottle overall; I don know it's a bit awkward to hold in photos though! Pictured here we have Nicole By OPI Promises In The Dark topped with one coat of Nicole By OPI Pick Of The Glitter. Pick of the glitter is very dense and I love the combination of turquoise and copper glitters but it's really just not my style so I'll be passing this one along to a friend.

Christmas Layering With Sinful Holiday Rebel & A DIY Krampus

Christmas isn't over on the 25th at my house. We always have at least a few present opening sessions since everyone can't be here at the same time. I'm still wearing a pretty layering combination that's perfect for the holiday season. Sation I'm With The Bandana is one of my all time favorite polishes and I topped it with one coat of Sinful colors Holiday Rebel. Holiday Rebel has small green glitter and medium red hex glitter in a clear base. A subtle holiday look that I really like.
Gremlins is a Christmas movie right?

We made our own Krampus by modifying a moose dog toy. We taped up his antlers with black electrical tape & gave him a homemade switch. Then we added some evil yellow eyes and a curly long tongue made from craft foam, then mean eyebrows made with a black pipe cleaner for the final touch. I love him!

Christmas Nails With SmartNails & Zoya

These just might be my favorite Christmas nails I've ever done. I started with a base of Zoya Purity and topped it with a layer of Zoya Maria Luisa. Then I used some of my trusty SmartNails sticker stencils for the design. This pattern is called Lace and was so easy to use. I alternated between Zoya Holly & Zoya Blair.

Layering With Zoya Purity And Maria Luisa

I love this simple combination of Zoya Purity topped with one coat of Zoya Maria Luisa. Reminds me of a pretty speckled egg or maybe a Caramel Corn Jelly Belly!
This white concrete brain is ready to ship in my Etsy store, The Makerage!

Sally Hansen Carnival - Second Try

I love the color combination of the glitter in Sally Hansen Carnival so much that I decided to try it again even though my first attempt was quite horrible. I added a bit of thinner and used one thin coat over Sally Hansen Cafe Au Lait. Still so many bubbles!
Next I added even more thinner and tried again on my right hand. Lots less bubbles but not enough glitter. Phooey!
It still looks amazing from a distance and many of my lovely readers have suggested that I try sponging it on next time. I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes someday! What are your favorite matte glitters that don't bubble?!?
