Valentine's Day Nails Inpired By Yellow Owl Workshop

I've had this adorable Valentine's Day Card from Yellow Owl Workshop in my nail inspiration Pinterest board for quite some time & finally decided to give it a go. I love the results! This is much more ambitious than most of my nail art but was actually pretty easy, if a little time consuming.
I used Sation Snow White, Abbacadazzle, Overdressed Party, & Unicorns Are Teal. The dots were made with a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Black.

Valentine's Day Nail Art

I keep a Pinterest board filled with nail art inspiration from all sorts of places. Today's manicure was inspired by some adorable cookies made by hello naomi. Very sweet for Valentine's Day.

I started with Rimmel Pink Bliss and used my trusty Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens for the design.

Simple Floral Nail Art with Sally Hansen

I used a pretty cake I found on this Cake Wrecks: Sunday Sweets post as the starting point for this manicure. I keep ideas like these in my Nail Inspiration Pinterest Board. Sally Hansen Polar Bare as the base color & I used Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens in Orange, Yellow, & Black for the flowers. Very easy to do with nail art pens!

Fun Nail Art With Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens Inspired By Dressed Up Nails

I love playing around with nail art pens like these from Sally Hansen. I decided to try a version of this fun manicure from Dressed Up Nails. I started out with a base of Sally Hansen Peachy Keen & then doodled a multicolored pattern using Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens in Purple, Green, Orange, & Blue. Very much like drawing with a marker when you were a kid. You do have to wait a bit before adding a topcoat to avoid smudges. A topcoat is absolutely necessary though since these will just wipe right off without one. An excellent feature when you make a mistake!

Sally Hansen Nail Art

Will called this manicure the pink pineapple. I started with a base of Sally Hansen color Quick Pen in Magenta & then used a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen to draw the pattern. My lines got a little blurred when I added a topcoat but they were still fun & looked great as long as you weren't too close.

Simple Nail Art With Sation Peppermint Pedi

Sometimes something simple is all you need to create striking nails. I found the inspiration for these nails from Prima Creative. I started with a base of Sation Peppermint Pedi then added a big dot with a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen & a bold V in my Gold Metallic Sharpie.

Witches Cauldron Nails With Sation

Sometimes a cool idea just doesn't quite turn out the way you want it too. I got the idea from the blog Top Coat It who posted these amazing cauldron nails last year. I decided to make the cauldrons half moons & use a different polish for each spell. Great idea in theory but the end result is a bit of a mess. Maybe I'll try again next year.
I started with Sation Lemon Pearl then used my Silver Sharpie & a Sally Hansen Nail Art pen for the Cauldrons. Next up we have five Sation glitters! From pinky to thumb: Calorie Countess, Ego Friendly, For Better Or Never, Rich In Opportunities, & Tall Dark & Has Some.

Quick Stripes With Sation

Sometimes simple is good. I wasn't going for super straight lines, just some cute hand drawn stripes. Easy to do on both hands & I love the end result! I started with a base of Sation Holiday Golightly & then added stripes with my Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Blue.

Hexagon Accent Nail

I've been loving everything hexagon lately (my Hexagon Pinterest Board) so I decided to do a fun distorted honeycomb pattern accent nail. I love how this one turned out!
I started with a base of Jordana Orangesicle. Then I pulled out my trusty Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens. I love these things. I would have a very difficult time getting this result with a brush but no problem at all with the pens!

Zoya Irresistible Collection Nail Art With Rikki, Bobbi, & Tinsley

This manicure started with a base of Zoya Rikki. I then added a triangle of Tinsley followed by a smaller triangle of Bobbi. It didn't look quite finished so I outlined the triangles with my Sally Hansen Nail Art pen in black.

The Shining Nail Art!

My sister Ashley decided to do some ambitious nail art for the opening of Room 237 a documentary which explores numerous theories about Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” and its hidden meanings.

She started with a base of Zoya Dea then carefully drew the orange pattern with a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Orange. Finally she added the red dots using Zoya Kristi. I'm blown away by this manicure! She is so much more patient than I am. Fantastic idea & excellent execution!

Iron Man Nails!

I love comic books, graphic novels, & all things superhero. My dad, Ashley, & I all went to see Iron Man 3 this afternoon at the IMAX theater. It was lots of fun & Ashley suggested that I do my some Iron Man nails. I think they turned out pretty good!

I used two polishes from Zoya's Irresistible collection of super light reflecting foils which are perfect for superhero nails! I used Zoya Hazel for his eyes & the arc reactor & Zoya Kerry for his face. Sadly I passed Zoya Kym onto a friend years ago back when I didn't like red polish; it would have been perfect. I used Sally Hansen nail art pens in red & black for the rest. I can't get over how amazing Zoya Kerry is, look at that glow! (This is my First ever GIF! I used GIFninja, recommended to me by Lifehacker.)

XOXO Valentine's Nail Art

My first Valentine's Day nails for this year. The base is Sation Chocolate Chip Resistant & I made the x's & o's with my Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Red. I really love nail art pens. I could never do this with a brush & if you mess up, you can just wipe it off. (They don't set until a topcoat is applied.)
