Sally Hansen Gray By Gray & Some Rhinestones

Sally Hansen Gray By Gray isn't gray! I would call it a dark cadet blue creme. Lovely color. I normally like wide brushes but this one kept bunching & twisting, maybe because the formula was too thick.

This is only the second time I've played with rhinestones but I like the effect this time. I could just add a red stripe or two and this would be a fun 4th of July manicure for next year!

Thanks for reading!

  2. I love this color! The only thing that bothers me is the name...I hate when companies give polishes misleading names.

  3. This is one of the ones I always admire but never buy! (the other is the teal). Those rhinestones look like fun! Love that shape.

  5. This is too funny! I *just* saw some swatches on MyLipsButBetter's blog of OPI Ski Teal We Drop and commented that it looks exactly like Gray by Gray! I think we might have a dupe on our hands!

BTW, this color looks stunning on you. :)

  6. I purchased this one too recently, because I had seen it online and it looked like a grey putty colour. So when I was in the store, I didn't look at it before I bought it and I went home only to realize that it was a different colour!

  7. funny, I bought this one a long time ago and am finally wearing it. Not sure I like it, I guess it's ok.
It's definitely NOT a dupe for OPI STWD. There is no green in this color...it's a desaturated blue. STWD is a dusty teal, definitely no dupe.
The formula is thick and you can get away with a single coat if you're careful. I went with two though, because I wasn't. LOL
