E.L.F. White (Worst Polish I've Ever Tried)

Let me start by saying that I love a lot of E.L.F. products. I use a couple of their blushes and I really like my All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade.
E.L.F. polish in white is truly horrible as you can see in the photo above. That is after 3 coats and I just gave up. The mop-like brush left deep grooves in the thick, yet super streaky and sheer polish. I wasn't able to get it to look any better even after thinning it a bit and starting over the next day. BAD!
Have any of you tried this one? I know white cremes can be tricky but...

  1. oh no that does look quite bad! Did you use an undercoat? I tend to stick with Nails Inc because I know they give a nice smooth finish x

  2. I used my favorite base coat, Nail Tek Foundation II. Still bad.

  3. Oh yes, it's awful. Basecoats can't save this one :-(.I tried it once and then threw it in the bin because I couldn't do a thing with it (no stamping, striping - nothing)
ELF are hit and miss with their polishes. I've found a couple of gems recently, but otherwise I'll stick to their make-up

  4. LOL! The title of this post is what made me read. So often we bloggers discuss polishes we love, but not polishes we hate..I love it!

I've never tried this white color of ELF, but I have tried their other lighters colors, and I had the same reaction. ELF polishes are best if they are darker :)

  5. That sucks! Some of ELFs polishes are good though. Like Metal Madness. But others well...suck. Haha (:

  6. lol love this post! :)

I don't own any ELF polishes, but I did just order their new Teal colour, I hope it's not a major disaster.

  7. I have some ELF polishes I haven't tried. I hope they won't be as bad as this one. Yikes!

  8. I really think that a pure white creme is just really hard...I know much more higher end brands have tried and failed. So I don't blame e.l.f. for not being able to pull it off either. Blech.

Maybe you can use it for frankening?

  13. I have many elf polishes, yes the brushes are crap...seriously...but they are able to be marbled. Thats my only reason for purchasing them.
